KELSEA BALLERINI ACHEIVES SIXTH #1 SONG WITH ACCLAIMED SINGLE “HOLE IN THE BOTTLE”

SINGLE RECENTLY WENT GOLD WITH 130+ MILLION STREAMS

“NAMED ONE OF THE 50 BEST SONGS OF 2020” – Los Angeles Times

Two-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated multiplatinum songwriter and producer Kelsea Ballerini has received her sixth No.1 song at Country Radio on the Mediabase chart with her acclaimed single “hole in the bottle.” The single also recently received RIAA Gold Certification status and is approaching 800k track equivalents to date.

The whimsical and lyrically playful “hole in the bottle” is the third single off of Ballerini’s 2020 studio album kelsea (Black River Entertainment) and is accompanied by a stylistic video filled with bright colors and roaring 20’s inspired black-and-white scenes, directed by Hannah Lux Davis. A few months ago, Kelsea debuted a new version of the hit single featuring the iconic country music legend Shania Twain.

In March of 2020, the songstress debuted her self-titled third full-length album kelsea. Her most personal effort yet, the album was met with critical praise including by NPR who said, “Kelsea Ballerini is definitely one of the most influential women in country right now… she’s defining the sound of the genre.” The collection presents a set of arena ready pop-country songs tailor made for live shows and was released the week the world shut down.

While under quarantine, Kelsea created the second half of that story, ballerini. On this project, she carefully deconstructed each song and re-recorded everything with minimal accompaniment and co-produced this new album with friend and collaborator Jimmy Robbins. Kelsea shows yet another side of herself with this reimagined take on the entire album. The delicate sonics highlight the lyrical power of the record as she has stripped all of the songs down to the bare essentials.
